Retribution Falls

Retribution Falls - Chris Wooding A mostly entertaining read. Too much time spent asking rhetorical, overly introspective questions within the character's heads. I swear, every time the focus changed, the reader was flooded with the endless doubts that fill each of the character's minds. The story was fun, if not slightly stock and predictable. The world was interesting, but felt rather thin (wish we would have gotten more there, I liked the airships concept, but it wasn't really ever fleshed out in its own right). The character development was rather of OTN, and the ending was a bit too warm-and-fuzzy.

Not a bad book, but not a great one either. Not sure I'd recommend it for anything other than a light read. 3/5.
