Atlas Shrugged

Atlas Shrugged - Leonard Peikoff, Ayn Rand I don't particularly know what to think of this book. I may try to finish it someday, but it just got long, tedious, and overly repetitive. Often reads more like a Tea Party sponsored text book with a thin narrative thrown in. Once I got past the midpoint, I lost all interest in the story, and I feel like I got enough of Rand's politics in the first 5/8's of the book that I can simply expect more of the same to come. I don't care about the characters, which is the main problem when trying to find motivation to finish a book of this length.

I am not entirely sure what to make of Rand's politics. I can sympathize with the sentiments, but I don't know how practical her conclusions are in the real world, especially when considering my Jesus-persuaded worldview. Thought providing, and maybe someday I'll continue.
